Since its incorporation as a trade association in 1999, RPA (formerly RPCC) has brought leadership, significant change, and a wealth of deliverables to its members and the industry at large. The following is a selected list of those accomplishments.

2008 RPA Education Forum - September 24-25th at the Waterfront Hotel in Oakland, CA. Click here for the most up to date information.
RPA Official Launch - With booth, press conference, and celebratory reception slated for May 2008, RPA prepares its members, potential members, and media for the official launch of the RPCC to RPA.
RFID Field Trial - The RPA has launched the most sweeping field trial of its kind in a ground-breaking study. Following on the heels of laboratory tests, the economic benefits and enhanced supply chain visibility that can be achieved through RFID technology and multi-use tags in reusable transport packaging in being studied with multiple supply chain partners.
Asset Recovery - The RPA will establish a structured and controlled approach to the handling, reporting and recovery of reusable assets used within the retail industry to transport products to retail stores. The implications will have far-reaching implications throughout the reusable supply chain.
Governmental Relationship - RPA has partnered with Alameda County, California's StopWaste.org to bring reusable supply chain solutions to local and national business enterprises. Through a series of workshops and an aggressive, bold campaign to convert businesses to reusable, this partnership is the model for other municipalities across the country.

Hosted three hospitality receptions at trade shows in 12 months
Past (Prior to 2005)
Life Cycle Inventory - Two-year ground breaking study on environmental "cradle to grave" results of energy usage comparing reusables with one-way corrugated packaging with 10 different applications. Data concluded: reusables require 39% total energy; reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 29%; and produce 95% less solid waste.
